Two Rivers Optical, LLC is independently owned and operated by NYS Licensed Optician, Dawn Thayer.  Dawn has over 25 years of experience in the optical industry starting her career at a local lab, fabricating glasses.  For 14 years she served as a Customer Service Manager, frame and lens Rep and lab technician, helping optical practices and Optometrist select the right products for their patients.

When taking her career to the next level in retail, she realized there was a need for affordable eyewear for those who didn't have vision insurance and/or poor vision insurance coverage. Many retail Opticals are owned by large Corportation's, who in turn, own the vision insurance plans.  They raise the prices to offset the insurance write-offs leaving the uninsured to fill their profit gap.

At Two Rivers Optical all of our distributers for frames and lenses are independent and locally owned. We are an "Out of Network" provider; therefore, we can offer affordable glasses for everyone and if you have "out of network" benefits, we will help you with your self-submission forms.
